Cinder Isle

“Set along the Maine coastline, the idyllic town of Cinder Isle never experienced anything out of the ordinary in its long history. In the autumn of 1996, that all changed. The townsfolk were faced with an event no one could see coming. Not knowing where it came from or how to stop it, the people of Cinder Isle must adapt to their new reality.”

I think the comics should at least come out with the first 25 pages at start to hook a lot of people in, then do one page everyday.

The teaser poster and basic plot summary should be enough on their own to hook people in. If that isn’t enough for some people, then rushing to finish the first 25 pages immediately after “Godmother” ends would not change anything.

This system has worked well for Sam in the past, namely only making the first 25 pages free for everyone after the first 100-150 pages have been posted. It’s worked so well that he’s done it like this five times over the last five years. Why should Sam change a system that isn’t broken?

I hope the next comic is in my home state of California.

Why aren’t the first 25 pages available for free anymore?

The first 25 pages of “Cinder Isle” haven’t been posted yet. We’re only six pages in right now.

Also, in the past, the first 25 pages became free for everyone after the first 100 to 150 pages had been posted. The first 25 pages were never free from the beginning. That’s been the case with every other comic in the past, so “Cinder Isle” will probably follow suite and make the first 25 pages free once we reach 100 or so pages.

Sam, I think it would be helpful to label each new chapter on this page for “Cinder Isle” in some way. Perhaps a different color box for each chapter, or a special symbol to denote which page begins a new chapter. This would make the comic easier to navigate in the future after the comic surpasses 100 pages. In past comics, there were times I wanted to go back and re-read a particular scene, but the navigation options make that a bit tedious. Anyways, just a thought. I like the new comic so far.

A very good suggestion. I find it difficult to find certain pages I want to re-read because of the lack of this.

For example, I wanted to find the page from Different Perspectives which had Holly in a proper Derp-Face (Which is my profile picture for now) in the 3rd Panel (It was page 333), however, I couldn’t remember what page number it was, so I had to search “Derp” in the search bar above.

A TV Trope that has been done to death.. Let a white guy die first. Otherwise it’ll be Marvel’s Civil War all over again.
