But one other thing that you’re forgetting. With epidemiological forensics, not only would ‘patient zero’ need to be determined, but more importantly *how* they became sick. Was there an animal involved, or another human? If so, was the animal that infected the first human alive or dead? What sort of activities were ensuing during the time of contagion? Was skin broken? How was ‘patient zero’ exposed to the animal? In this case, the infection vector is fluids; more importantly, in aerosol form. This would lead me to believe that contagion from human-to-human will be high contagious.
