Some things change, while some remain the same.
As much as Patricia doesn’t like being a girl, it still beats other illnesses like measles that can be deadly.

Zoey: Being a girl doesn’t make you stupid. Don’t be hard on yourself, Patricia. It can be fun and rewarding as you enjoy other things if you give a chance.

I knew that Zoey will have Patricia’s back and she is right: Patricia will get used to beeing a girl in no time… plus: Patrick is surely not the only child who has become the wrong gender… who knows how many girls at his school used to be boys… just saying…

maybe Elaine and Randy will try to stay together
but with Randy’s mind soon to be turning into that of a man-crazy woman the marriage will be in danger
but i also feel that Elaine won’t get mad at that, she know that it’s the virus changing the mindset of the infected, that will give her the motivation to find a cure

ps: at the end of Godmother it’s seems that the virus got out of control, right?

Ever since from page 107-109

Zoey’s mom won’t be upset unlike Gavin’s bickering parents

Elaine: It’s not your fault Randy, it was the virus’ intentions that made you do these things in order to spread to make new hosts.

Elaine seems pretty level headed, so I’ll bet that their marriage wouldn’t be in danger because of the virus. She knows that Randy wouldn’t cheat on her of his own accord. If Randy does do anything with another man, Elaine is smart enough to know that it’s the virus doing it, not Randy. As for the ending of “Godmother,” I believe it was implied that that was talking about Sylvana’s minions spreading across England that signaled the beginning of “Awakening.” I don’t think it has anything to do with Cinder Isle, since that outbreak happened in Europe in 2018, while… Read more »

Well since we are over page 301 now it is only a matter of time before a certain magical statue notices what is going on. Then we find out who can be cured and who don’t need to be cured.

The husbands will be cure 1st for the sake of the marriage and families.

Some changed boys want to stay as girls with no virus within them if there’s another alternative.

It still seems like we’re a long ways off from Alistair getting involved. He’d only go to Cinder Isle if he knows exactly what’s going on beforehand, and the outside world is convinced that everyone on Cinder Isle is dead. Keep in mind, Alistair only found out about Sylvana’s release because he heard a news report about Norah’s death. So he’s definitely not aware any time someone swaps genders, and he probably thinks there’s nothing at Cinder Isle for him right now, if he’s even aware of the news about Cinder Isle.

I’m not so sure. His scrying portal showing all the infected he needs to cure will start showing a massive red blob the more this thing progresses. He’s going to notice if not quick but very soon long before it get to affecting everyone.

Not necessarily. Alistair’s map of those with the gender curse only shows people who have Sylvana’s gender curse, not people who are magically transformed into the opposite gender. At this moment, we don’t know if this virus is related to Sylvana’s gender curse and it might be something else entirely. Hell, we don’t even know if this virus is magical in origin. As such, those who have the virus might not show up on Alistair’s map, since this is probably not related to Sylvana.
