I think what Chase’s mother said about the name Chase being ok for a girl could also be applied to Blake in Fractured.

The ‘Mother’ looking at the Principal. Guess she hopes this doesn’t happen to her ‘lover’

Idk I had a funny feeling that Shane and Gavin are both immune from all this.

Maybe Shane has immunity thanks to the Harlequin’s enchantment magic

Regardless I hope they don’t get infected.

Wanda hasn’t necessarily figured out what happened between Chase and the principal, just that she suspects something is up. Also, female Chase is not named Chastity. Chase is a unisex name so her name doesn’t change.

Principal harpswell looks mighty sad.

when you think about it the mistress is to blame for getting Chase all worked up in the first place. the principal was not in control of her actions at the time of the infection.

No one will figure out it was the ghost’s doing anyway. Unless the principal is aware and has proof of the “ghost” situation chances are she has no way out of this should the beans gets spilled.

Wait really? Chase is also a girl name? Huh….

At least Chase won’t be renamed as Chastity or the kids at school mocking her

Maybe Wanda will step in and feminized Chase’s name. Over half the school has their had their names changed from male to female so it shouldn’t be a big deal over a name change.

Detective Wanda on the case

The ghost who possessed Ms. Harpswell needs to come forward and tell the truth to exonerate both Ms. Harpswell *and* Chase. There needs to be closure.

I think the Mistress help this case after realizing there will be no men left at Cinder Isle to screw over very soon

Why would the Mistress come forward? She doesn’t feel remorse or regret over what she did because she’s a ghost. She’s not longer tied to those “human” feelings or emotions.

But she did felt bad though at page 376.

Seriously? You’re placing Ms. Harpswell in a room of concerned parents, while *still* continuing to wear revealing clothing with no semblance of a professional (principal and teacher)? If that isn’t glaring, then these people are naive.

Yeah, but what else did she have to wear? Despite the cold (is it still winter in 97 there?) She could have ditched the stockings. I wonder if Harpswell will wonder where her getup came from when the pressure is off?

Its early spring at this point in the story

It’s not like she had a chance to change her outfit. Those were the only clothes she had when the medics showed up. Also, more than half of the women on Cinder Isle dress just like her now, so a smoking hot woman in a skirt and fish nets is a pretty common occurrence around the island.
