The titular Alistair proves to be the best character in this comic. Classic non-blood misanthropy

Well, bye bye time travel theory, until further notice that is!

Alastair’s head seems much smaller here, but that could be just me. I also wonder what would happen if Gavy cut his finger on an alastair fragment while putting him back together

I bet Alistair use Gavin’s curse orb as a sample to make the cure

“What caused you to blow up?”

Alistair: it’s…embarrassing but let’s just say I’ll never watch another Shaquille O’Neil movie out of utter boredom EVER again….

Rapping genies WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?!?!?

An explosion so powerful, it caused an earthquake strong enough to be felt hundreds of miles away. How unfortunate it is that aside from a virus pandemic, this event is also reminiscent of recent events. I can’t even imagine the horror of being there up close. My thoughts are with everyone affected by that catastrophe.

Now I really want to know once and for all what caused Alistair to blow up in pieces.

Wow, it was foreshadowed by the earthquake history during from science class lesson

Page 208, since Nathan as a new kid in school while the science teacher lecture about different types of earthquakes.

Also Sandra should be grateful for that info.

Ok now I saw it. Now that’s some damn subtle foreshadowing.

Hehe, now Zoey and Shane wished that they remembered that particular lesson.

I guess even magic has its forms of pollution. So the curses are a combination of radioactive hot mess and liquid gender changer all in one tiny package. Geez, now I see why Alistair takes their collection and disposal seriously.

If Sylvana obtains this knowledge, she might use this as a backup plan in case she fails.

ah, so he was incapacitated for one year, not longer. that would of been hell for him (well besides being stuck as a statue 🙁 ) plus there is not time travel going on.

Yeah, I’d rather they stay away from time travel plot devices. It just makes stuff more confusing than it needs to be. Also, the one series that they made with a time travel story got cancelled after 2 episodes.

Time travel can be cool. It’s been used in lots of cool movies like avengers and back to the future.

That said, time travel is not really a TG thing. Making time travel cause gender changes in Grandother paradox felt…forced. I guess they could write like…a surgeon from 2050 decides to go back in time to offer surgeries to TG people from the 1920s. But I mean, you could also just have a sorcerer in 1920 helping people from 1920 and avoid all the headaches of time travel.

I almost surrender the time travel idea, unless Ruby instead of Alistair did it. We’ll know soon enough what happened. I think all of this story happens before Isabelle becomes Alistair’s apprentice. Am I right?

Cinder Isle takes place in 1996 while My apprentice took place in 2014 so yes.
