Hmmm she looks a little too old for her age more extremely petite adult then tween but then I’ve known women who’s hot button is they need to shop in the childrens clothing because of how small they are.

Being you are near the end of the story, here is a critique. If you ever redo it, loose the mountain. To have the height to have snow, would require a base larger that the island itself, instead, have hiking trails or dune bugging, anything that would represent a small area. How to cover not having the entire population panicking to get off the island, as they transition into a new being, out of the normal reality into a magic reality. You have it where the uninfected only see everything as normal. The three exceptions are. 1. During the transition… Read more »

Sam has mentioned that the geography of Cinder Isle is based off of a real island near Maine that does have a mountain that sees a lot of snow in the winter months. It is absolutely possible for a smaller island to have a mountain that gets snow, especially as you get further from the equator.

Being I am in the social utopia of California, compared to us, your mountain are more like hills. BTW what island could have a snow covered mountain.

There are lots of islands around the world that have snow-covered mountains. I believe Sam said that Cinder Isle’s geography is based off of Mount Desert Island. It is a real island off the coast of Maine that has a mountain that gets regular snow fall in the winter months. Just because those mountains aren’t as big as mountains in California doesn’t mean that they’re not mountains.

The mountain definitely wouldn’t be high enough to have snow year round but the scene on the mountain was in the middle of winter.

Here is some fun stuff. Mount Diablo is about fifteen miles from where I use to live, an about every five to seven years, we would see a light dusting of snow.

Mount Diablo is a mountain of the Diablo Range, in Contra Costa County of the eastern San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. Elevation 3,114 feet

That’s much closer to the equator though.

Patricia’s case –

At first she hated it and now as time went on, Patricia liked being a girl because it’s fun & enjoyable thanks to her family’s help and she has eyes on a boy that she’s attracted.

It’s evident at panel 1, 2, & 4, the younger sister seems to like to drink milk due to Heather’s advice from page 398.

Well duh Zack… Patrick is Patricia now and a straight girl… so stop thinking she was once your little brother… it is not wierd for a straight girl to be interessted in boys and dress up all girlie and cute!

I think the idea is that she liked boys before being transformed.

Actually I think it happened previously when Bridget and Frank / Francine pollute the water system with a barrel drum of virus. Sometime before the festival event, Patricia has a crush on a boy from her school.

Patricia’s crush turned into a girl: Patricia, do you still like me?

Patricia: Yes, I still like you and we’re always be together.

And they hug together with a heartfelt moment.

probably… as Patrick Patricia could have started spinning in that way… at first he hated being a girl but deep down I think he was happy… and then as the months passed he started to enjoy life as a girl. I think one reason for patrick to decide staying patrica was that he was afraid how his friends would react if he’d come out as gay, now as a straight girl he does not have to fear loosing friends… I guess that could be a good reason for his decision… just my personal thought…. i could be wrong

What I’m wondering is if she actually liked boys before turning into a girl or only did because the virus changes your sexuality, if it’s the latter then that is kind of a dumb reason to stay a girl because it only be because of the virus.

My theory on Patricia’s age is that aside from wanting to be a girl, she also wanted to be a grown-up. One of her lines before her re-appearance here was “Grownups get all the fun.” at page 401, plus she’s very mature for her age. A similar thing happened in My Apprentice as well. I guess Alistair granted that wish as well as additional thanks to Zack and the gang. My personal headcanon, at least…

Also, Patricia really reminds me of Nanako from Persona 4. Very mature for their ages, have a supportive big bro, and just really adorable…

well she is NOT grown up… she is still much younger than her big sis… plus… 10-13 year old girls already can have B, C and even D cups… depends on the genes!

I don’t know, aging from 5 to 10 seems pretty grown up for me, and I was referring more to mental/emotional maturity than the physical one…

If we’re thinking at least 10 the. Maybe she was 8 – 8 1/2at the start and now the little additions from the virus just made her an early bloomer. Thats a bot more practical i think.
