The only instances of couples “taking it to the bedroom” on the first date are Chris and Isabelle, Mariah and Gary, Ashley and Holly, and Clint and Tamara.
The look on Gavin’s face in the last panel is priceless.

Up from here? I don’t know. I feel like your parents embarrassing you in front of your date as he comes to pick you up isn’t the worst thing that could happen on a date. Especially on this isle. And I’m not just talking about the virus (though that is still a big concern, I’m sure). So this date could still go “down” somehow.
What the hell, Rachele? You were suppose to give Gavin the “Dad talk”. Not flirt with him. *sigh* Well, at least Elaine is still thinking straight around Gavin and making sure to warn about “being careful around any uninfected”. Though, I feel that that’s actually going to be a problem for Zoey tonight, being unable to control her virus induced hormones and raised libido around Gavin. Good luck Gavin. You’re going to need it.

Elaine: It’s okay, sweetie. I feel the same way, too due to the virus’ side effects. I still love you no matter what happens in the future.
This illness is a blessing and curse. The good thing in this page is the parents’ concern about Zoey & Gavin before the 1st date unlike Gavin’s parents.
Strangely enough we don’t know if Clarissa had protested or forbade Gavin on doing this considering she didn’t like Chase going out on a date with Daphne while she was infected.
The only 2 things that Clarissa hates is she doesn’t want Chase to be with Daphne while being very overprotective on her only son and don’t do anything with Wanda because she’s now a woman.
Gavin is strong enough to protect Zoey just like he stands up to the haters at school.
Protection is the best advice given.
