He’s just acknowledging that he’s not blind or stupid. He forgoes Luke’s plotarmor and actually tries to be a good and supportive friend to luke. Which is scary for Luke because the lies are starting to come tumbling down. But soon will realise that a lot of his friends are actually decent people.
