I think it’s possible Karl suspects Luke is Lara, and that his becoming Lara is what motivated the weight loss and muscle loss. He may be the first (can’t believe it’s taken so long) for somebody to realize they’ve never seen Luke and Lara together, and thus put two and two together. As has been stated astutely by others, Karl may be seeing Luke as transgender and willing to support his friend with this. He may even say he’d be willing to “do” Luke as Lara, cause he was attracted to her before, right? Should get interesting… 🙂
