After over 11 years of service, I’ve finally replaced my work computer. My old computer is so ancient, that it predates any of my employees and was bought when Shifting Roommates was still out! Here’s my new setup! It’s got an Nvidia RTX 5090, 96 GB of RAM, 29 TB of storage. Plus the new 40″ 4K curved monitor!
It’s a massive difference in terms of speed and how it handles big files. Putting all the files on an SSD instead of a HDD makes a huge change as well. I honestly should have upgrades years ago. The secondary monitor in the picture is actually my old monitor.
Here’s the new PC compared to the old soldier.
Lastly, here’s a picture of the old PC, which has produced so much of the Sapphire Foxx content over the years.
By the way, I hadn’t really done a ‘blog’ style post about myself in quite a while. If you guys like these, I can do more.
That’s a huge graphics processor. NVidia is my favorite brand when only the best will do. Well deserved!
Awesome
Wow
29 TB of storage?! 96 GB of RAM?! HOLY SHIT!
Also, to the older PC…
“You were good son, real good; maybe even the best.”
Do you have a Network Attached Storage?
It would make things easier with extra external, internet connected storage, especially during group projects.
Sam’s new work station looks amazing and awesome
The case looks nice, what is it?
That’s a Fractal North XL.
Thanks for the recommendation!
