Who is Cypher? I’m thinking it might be Thad, but I might be wrong too. We will just have to wait and see.

Its not Thad, we proved that already. He didn’t know who Lara was when he saw her in the hallway

Karl?

It’s not Karl. Cypher sent a text to Luke earlier in the day and it was sent under the name “Cypher.” If Karl had sent it, the name for the text would have been “Karl.”

It can’t be anyone who’s already registered in Luke’s phone. So that rules out Karl, Darren, and Jorge. It’s also already been confirmed that it’s not Thad. Of all the guys we’ve met in this comic, Cypher is either Stephen or is not someone who Luke knows in real life.

It is ridiculously easy to spoof your phone number and send a text from a false number. And for the number to already be associated with the name “Cypher”, that name had to have somehow been added to Luke’s contact list. Now, who is known for being tech savvy enough to spoof a phone number *and* has physical access to Luke’s phone? The answer seems obvious. 🙂 (Note, I have read ahead in this comic, because I’m the copy editor, but I am still just speculating based on what has already gone public. I don’t know who Cypher is, yet.… Read more »

Really wonder what Cypher’s game is. We now know he clearly knows Luke is Lara, even if he doesn’t know the name Luke.

If that was the case then a whole bunch of people would already know. This Cypher guy probably hacked into the webcam or something.

Avengers-level threat, indeed.

Next thing we know, if Lara doesn’t submit to Cypher’s bidding, then he’ll broadcast the evidence he got, just like how Mysterio said to the whole world that Spiderman is Peter Parker…

Okay first of all we all knew this was coming, and this also flat-out illegal. I’ll like to see you claw your way out of this one Lara, or just admit it now

Cypher is clearly a person that uses blackmail to get what they want. That’s just disgusting to do. 😠 Can’t wait for Cypher to get destroyed for blackmailing Luke/Lara.

i can see that coming
but i’m afraid only after Luke find out that he was meant to be Lara

Seraphi

Oh boy, this can’t be good. We knew this was likely coming sooner or later, but wasn’t how I was imagining it. Whoever this Cypher is obviously knows Lara is not 100% woman, but it’s still unclear if this individual recognizes who it really is.

I kinda have a small theory or idea as to who it might be, if they’ve even been revealed yet. Looks like I’m wrong, but we’ll see in time.

Honestly missed that panel shot at first when the camera light was on back then.

Yep we’re gonna have to wait for tomorrow’s page to see if Cypher recognizes Luke by name. I personally think it’s someone Luke has already interacted with, I want to say it’s that Thad guy, because he kinda had a foreshadowing moment back in one of the previous pages. At least that’s what my brain says, but my heart feels as though Thad wouldn’t be bothered with going out of his way to ruin Luke/Lara’s life.

Luke’s camera was off. Cypher hacked Luke’s camera to turn it back on.

That’s why analog camera sliders exist.. you can’t hack those. 100% safe.

Zillatrek

That just sounds like paranoia to me. Just because some people’s cameras get hacked doesn’t mean everyone should invest in analog. It’s not like everyone is out there getting blackmailed. So I don’t think Luke should have done anything differently. In fact, it seems more realistic that he doesn’t go analog.

Try taping a piece of tin foil over the camera lens. no one will see anything!

Putting anything over the computers’ personal camera can potentially damage the camera. So it’s not recommended to you put anything over the camera unless you want to ruin it and your computers resale value.

That’s absurd. I’ve stuck a post-it over my iMac’s camera all the time for years, and nothing has happened.

The foil is unnecessary, just the tape by itself works fine.
