obsidian mixed with silver would be an intersting mix, fake beings mixed with real ones leaving your foe unbalanced as they try to find whats real and not real as they get hit from diffrent sides or not
Obsidian I would like as my power.
The things I could do with this power would be insane and up most gruesome on my enemies.
Some tricks.
1. Make a castle but really it’s a killing monster.
2. Make the floor your on into a monster.
3. Make creepy dungeons with creepy skeletons playing hide and seek, and then skeletons claw you from behind the corner smiling at you with no warning
would be amazing if pages came out now so i could read the comic before work

So now we know the bloodlines saphire, ruby, amethyst, diamond, silver, obsidian, bronze, gold, green (jade?). What are the gemstones for the metallic ones anyway and why bronze instead of copper? I ask because I suspect that Foxx had reasons for the choices they made afterall we have no white (pearl) bloodline.
Green is Emerald.
Has that been stated? I ask because I recall a comment from Foxx on earlier bloodlines about looking forward to Jade not sure if he was teasing the person named Jade or serious about an upcoming bloodline.
Foxx’s “Jade” comment was a joke. Green is Emerald, which was mentioned multiple times in Different Perspectives.
Ah havnen’t fully read that one yet thanks. So Saphire/Blue, Ruby/Red, Emerald/Green, Amethyst/Amethyst, Obsidian/Black, Diamond/?, Silver/?, Gold/? and Bronze/?. Not sure what the colour is for diamond or the crytsal for the metals maybe both same as Amethyst looking forward to seeing what the others are and which one suits me most.

Sentinels huh? Interesting . . . looking forward to seeing more of these guys.

Seriously, I’m not letting this idea go. Foxx, have you ever thought of though of adapting this universe to a Table Top RPG? I would imagine that a lot of people on the site would love to play an RPG based in this universe.
I’ll second that, it could be really fun.
I really wish I could, but I don’t think it would be viable to invest resources into. Plus we are stretched thin as it is until we finally hire new animators.
Oh well. It’s a good setting at least. Perhaps it could happen in the future when the universe has grown a little more and you’re not looking for animators. It would be an easy job any way. A friend of mine has been building his own RP system for the better half of a decade so I know it would be a lot of work.

I see this as a perfect story to make! Like a Pinocchio-esk situation of a Obsidian mage trying to create his or her daughter over and over, using Emerald magic to try and bring her back to life.
Tragic yes, but compelling for a non-TG story in my opinion.
As much as I would like to do non-TG stories, I can’t do them.
