If there was a shop to purchase SapphireFoxx merchandise such as prints, physical comic books, and plushies, would you be likely to order anything?

We’ve got a very important poll at the moment. Please let us know your opinion. This poll isn’t to find out what percentage of people who are interested in a store, it’s to find out the quantity of people. For example, if only 40% percent of voters say they would use the store that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t happen. I’m seeing if the total number of “yes” voters would be enough to justify the cost and resources to create a store.

If you remember the incredibly important vote that asked if people would be willing to become paid subscribers back before that system started, only about 20% of people said they would pay to subscribe, that was still enough total people to justify doing it.

One distinction that I would make clear is that the online store would have material that is supplemental to the existing subscriber content, not exclusive. If there were to be a physical comic sold, it would be copies of the existing or upcoming comics that are already part of the subscriber experience, so these would just be for people who would be interested in having a physical copy. Things such as pinup prints of characters or plushies could be seen online, and would be available for people who would like to purchase them. The last thing I would want is for paid subscribers to feel like they are missing out on different content they can’t see.

One other possibility is a SapphireFoxx Patreon, which would offer monthly tiers for things like a 30 page physical comic book for all the comic pages being published online that month, or sending you a pinup print for a new character each month. I could also look into integrating a Patreon to the subscriber system as an additional payment option for subscribers besides credit cards and PayPal. If that could be done, any $5 or higher tier would include a subscription.

If you have any questions or concerns about a potential online store or Patreon, please ask in the comments below and I will answer as many as I can. Also, if you have an suggestions for things you would like in a store, we’re open to suggestions.

All i Want is to be able to read/watch content i already paid for. For example, if I subscribe and see every page of a comic posted it doesn’t feel good that I Can’t go read it if I can’t pay the subscription for another month.
probably in the minority here, so I’d be fine with purchasing the comics.

It would be nice to be able to buy physical comic books. Maybe you could group pages per month? Sell them for 20$ or so?

I would probably buy something, but international shipping rates plus tariffs could get in the way…

Sili Gel isn’t real.

1). Saline injections =/= Sili Gel. Nobody calls saline injections sili gel, and saline injections behave differently than they sili gel did in “Earning Those Tips.” Sili gel is a fictional substance that is slightly based of a real thing. Therefore they are two different things. Saline injections are real, Sili gel is not real.

2). You need a medical license to sell saline injections, ie. you have to be a doctor or medically trained. So even if “sili gel” was real, Sam couldn’t sell it to any of us unless she gets a medical license.

… Just Chill out its the same and if they have someone or hire a medic then they could sell sili gel FYI

No, Saline solutions and Sili gel are not the same thing. One is real, one is entirely fictional. They don’t behave the same way. Don’t be an idiot. That would be be like me saying all DeLorean’s can travel through time just because one made-up one did it in “Back to the Future.” It doesn’t work like that.

You’re an idiot if you think SF “hiring a medic” is a sane idea. Explain to me how that would work. Would you fly in to see them? SF doesn’t even have a place of business, let alone a doctor’s office. A saline injection is a medical procedure, not some casual needle you can do on your own.

Plus you write like a second grader with “you” as “u” and zero understanding of grammar or punctuation.

one idea i have is what if sapphirefox made a movie in all theaters and sell it to everyone but for subs it would only be $10 like give subs a coupon for 50% off plus the sapphirefoxx would grow bigger and put all characters from the pasts or current series another idea is wat if sapphirefoxx made there own show named after a old current or new series
explore more sites for sapphirefoxx

As Jesssica said about dvd’s i would like that option or even if you gave 2 subscription options like $10 then you can download the shows as a secondary choose just a thought.

Hi Fox, As someone running a largely web-based business my advice to you would be to really consider if you can make a profit which justifies the extra work, and investment – stock costs money. One thing you could offer, which wouldn’t cost you too much would be to offer past comic series as flipbooks, which can be downloaded for a cost, and maybe, if you can handle the technicalities, offer previous animation series as streamable films. At the moment if I want to watch or read previous series, it is a heck of a faff going through and selecting… Read more »

I get really depressed and use things like this or hugging my many stuffed animals to cope as well as friends. I would love to combine the two with a fox plushie or stuffed animal. Idk, I’m weird.

Another comic artist that I feel balances out the store is Howard Taylor over at schlock mercenary and writing excuses podcast. He has the freebie daily comic, a patreon for early access and back stage features, and printed books and other merchandise that contain commentary and bonus story material. It’s a balancing act with tiered level of content, but he does it well and he is one of the few (including yourself) comic artists that can support a family on his art with how he manages the business. The big thing is communication with your audience and making it clear… Read more »

I think something like this could work IF you do separate the site and store to a degree. Maybe do prints of the first two comics, but don’t do prints of the newer ones? That way it still involves people wanting to come to the site and use a membership. Also, you could utilize the pinups that have been created. Maybe some signature art of the more famous characters.
