Erica being greatly upset about Penelope dating someone else is almost similar to what happened in Cinder Isle when Dutch discovered Christine was dating someone else albeit Erica still got to see Penelope in person while Dutch never did nor was he confirmed to have ever done so after Alastair resolved the issue in Cinder Isle. Sam and his crew won’t ever confirm that Shane and Dutch saw Christine again or make amends with her unless they choose to do so since they don’t want to do anything with mentioned characters after a while regardless of it being an unresolved… Read more »

I think the story needs to develop more until Erica finds more benefits to being a woman as opposed to a penalty and Erica’s interest in Pen grows outside of not being a husband then there should be crossover with Knight is Young
If Erica and Pen are “besties” you’d think she would pick up a bit more on Erica’s distress and dig deeper. Still a bit upsetting but at least this episode wasn’t as dark as the rest.
Yeah, I understand being socially out of touch, I know I can be socially oblivious at times. But man, even I was yelling at the screen like “open your eyes”.
I’m honestly inclined to rationalize it as magic being involved making her not notice Erika’s behaviour.
