We\’re on to something here…….I know I\’m not the biggest expert on Chris\’s character, but notice how in panel 3 \”Chris\” has that sly smirk? After his experiences with self-aware constructs, would he really be smirking at the thought of one just callously being destroyed?
If even the soul can be copied, what makes it different from a real person?
Also so is this confirming that the mana mark/magic is tied to the body, not the soul? Meaning if you could take over a powerful mage’s body you would gain their power and lose your own?
Ok I have a new theory its a little out there so bare with me. I think the situation is kind of like what happened in the video game Soma. in that game the player among others had their minds down loaded into artificial constructs (or computers) but the original would continue to exist as would the copy both would exist and have the same memories. except due to continuity of conciseness their experience would diverge and differ from the moment of down load. so the original would still be the original, they would get scanned and continue to exist… Read more »

Man I figured this out along time ago like around page 20. I knew someone (grey mask possibly) created a way to make what he/she was doing low key. I must thank certain anime and manga (though I won’t name) that I’ve seen and read for figuring it out. I could explain my but then this comment will be way too long.
