I mean, it’s pretty heavily suggested that Caroline is Lorraine’s daughter, & that she too might be an angel or half angel, but we’ll have to see.

The Godmother is definitely evil! She is trying to lure him into a trap. Lorraine has been very elusive on her background and past. I think this plot is very similar to the beauty of the sea, Lorraine needs Oliver to stay Caroline for 8 hours to revert the curse put on her and then Oliver will turn into a Godmother.
