Were those $50 bills?

Panels 5,6 = $700. Panel 7=$650. Grab’em quick! They’re evaporating!

Ha Ha ,those r hundreds. But does it really matter ? Godmother paid the rent and gave him the body of a real stunner, that will open any door he wants and maybe even a few that he doesn’t want ??

Defiantly on the lower end of the spectrum apartment wise, but not unthinkable even in Brooklyn. That said, in NYC, most of those apartments are glorified closets.

Yup! On the west coast, San Fran is like that, exorbitant prices for tiny places. It’s the same deal as Manhattan, You don’t want to live across the water. Glorified closets is a good description. I’d have to check that my 6’2″ body could lie down flat!

That’s not unreasonable for a crowded city like NYC. the average rent for a decent apartment in Dallas Fort Worth is between 1100 and 2200 depending on the area. And DFW has a much larger foot print than NYC.

That’s one of the reasons it’s that cheap. If everyone wants to live somewhere specific, but there just isn’t space, the prices go up and only the rich get to live there.

$1500 rent… must be Staten Island.

Rent controled perhaps? In my college town, rent for a nice apartment in the center of town is $1300.00.

My aunt benefits massively from rent control in Hollywood. She lives basically around the corner from Paramount studios, and has been renting the same condo for 40 years. It’s got 2 bedrooms, a large kitchen, and a frankly gigantic living room, and she pays about $300/mo.

I think his mom or grandmother died in a crash or a horrible accident

I’m thinking he’s her kid.

No Enemy, I do not think so …

I think this story is about how the Godmother became the Godmother…. maybe she is the same person as Oliver/Olivia but from the future – that means possibility of Time Travel involved πŸ˜€

I think after all she has done to him taking the money would be the least thing to object to. He seems to be taking the transformation better that most men would. I would think he should be freaking out a little more.

Member

Do not freak, just be happy that with that body U can make all the money anyone would want !!!

Editor

Maybe the reason he’s not freaking out is due to that odd sense of familiarity he felt in regards to Lorraine’s name? That’s my guess.

Member

Or about the existence of magic! That ought to be a bit more of a surprise.

Member

i think his / her godmother is him/her from the future, that would make sense why there wouldn’t be much of a memory of her

Member

And Olivia still looks fabulous, because her clothes hwve been resizing with her.

I’m even more sure Oliver has curse now. β€œThe angel you were always supposed to be.” Yeah, I say curse.

Member

My first thought when I read that line too.
