I don’t see how Luke could have gotten Karl out of that situation without lying. It’s not like he’s lying because he likes to lie. He did it because there was no other choice to help Karl. One thing that this page demonstrates, as well as FaF as a whole, is that Luke would do anything for his friends. Sounds to me like that’s the sign of a good friend.
