I’m a little bit confused on the timeline now… Did he just sleep for 2 weeks?
Nope. In between the time Luke fell asleep a few pages ago and the time this dream began, we cut ahead two weeks. Luke did not have this dream the same night he got back from his date with Lara.
Then shouldn’t the “two weeks later” be at the start of the dream instead of when he wakes up?
To say that the dream is happening two weeks later when Luke just feel asleep on page 154 wouldn’t have made any sense since the dream is not really happening. It makes more sense to say “two week later” when we return to reality, not when the dream begins.
I know this one isn’t supposed to be magical I think, but could Cypher be some kind of sorcerer, or other sort of supernatural thing? That would easily explain the passing by of blocks and the Lara personality creeping in to Luke the way it is.
Since this is a non-magic series, that means that none of the characters are sorcerers, which would include Cypher. As for him bypassing the blocks, Cypher just has mad hacking skills. For the Lara personality creeping in, that’s just a common trait around here. Even in non-magic stories, the more a guy pretends to be a woman, the more he starts to think like a woman and enjoy things a woman would normally enjoy, like the thought of turning on another man.

It’s not really that surprising that Luke and Ana didn’t go on a second date, considering Ana thinks that Luke is gay.
