Doubling Efforts to Find New Employee

By | April 12, 2014

So far the search for a new employee has not been going well. I’ve gotten quite a few people who’ve applied, but the vast majority aren’t up to the standards I have for content on this site. I’m now doubling my efforts to hire someone (maybe even two people).

I’m working an average of 10 hours a day, and I haven’t taken a single day off since TheTGArtist quit. The comic hasn’t missed a day yet, but I don’t see any practical way for me to make three animations per month until someone is hired. I did used to do that before TheTGArtist was hired, but I went for quantity over quality back then. In a post I made several weeks ago, people overwhelmingly preferred quality.

That said, Becoming A Bridesmaid 5 will be out on the 15th and it’s really shaping up to be my new favorite of the series. You won’t be disappointed this upcoming Tuesday. ^.^

SapphireFoxx.com is becoming a real business and I hope to maybe have a few employees in the future if the subscribe base keeps growing. Thank you all for your patience and your support.

UPDATE: I’m starting to have better luck with more talented artists applying. Hopefully I’ll be able to hire someone soon.

There is a bunch of artists that specialize in TG on deviantart. Maybe that’s worth a look?

I would apply, I really really would, but I’m still in Art School. Maybe in a few years if the site is still running, I could apply then? Our art styles are actually surprisingly similar.

Hello Foxx,

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been struggling to find adequate replacements for TGartist, but hang in there, it will all work out eventually. Do keep in mind that you can only stretch yourself so much for a certain time before something is giving in. It is either falling ill or writer’s block, neither will do you good. Thus, if you need a break or need to slow down: Do so.

Your website isn’t a sprint, we all want it to be a marathon! 😉

I’ll keep my fingers crossed you find a solution soon.

Hugs,
Sabrina

Dear Foxx: You are doing a great job with the stories and the art, but please don’t kill yourself trying to do too much. If you have to slow down until you hire some competent artists, do so. Working long hours with no days off isn’t good for you or your product. Most of your subscribers believe in you and will understand if it takes a little longer to produce the animations. gina

you always hear about starving artists. I would think that a lot of talent that would fit your needs is available.
Is it the subject matter with the artists that have applied, or rather haven’t applied? or is there something about intellectual property rights? or…
