Cute moment, but a glaring continuity error that completely undermines the entire plot of Awakening. SF is getting increasingly sloppy with internal consistency, especially around the rules of magic. If you won’t follow the rules you set, don’t make them in the first place. I don’t like being negative about people’s creations but I can’t overlook this.
While I will have to headcanon the soul swap away, the rest of the episode is good, I like that he’s becoming more sociable over time. Interesting about Darla – she’s from Wild West Manhunt, right?
Can’t say I blame the guy if I have been a statue for freaking forever the thing I would miss most would definitely definitely be food
that was not the answer Jessica was looking for, but maybe Alistir will catch on or still be clueless.
Still you’ve got to admit it does make sense
Doesn’t this directly contradict what happened in awakening
YES. That’s my big problem with the episode and why I give it a 6/10.
But Alistair is only temporary soul swap on this Night Is Young chapter
While in Awakening, the Sapphire Fox is fully restored in flesh and blood.
Since the statue is a crystal, it should have been better if they swapped bodies while Alistair was not floating.
On switching Cris could have lost control and crashed down…
Sorry for being a nitpicker…
Do you nean Ashley? But yeah, if she would have forgotten this little detail of needing to levitate instantly, that would have ended badly
I would have thought that he would have her gold mana mark, since he is now in her body, with her blood, instead of shaping his own body into a copy of her.
I thought since the bbeg in Makers Game tried this exact thing to get Chris’ powers, the bloodline would be tied to the body, not the soul
The soul definitely does make more sense, except for that pesky continuity thing.
It’s not only the continuity that bothers me, but also things like Izzy loosing her powers after draining too much blood and the bloodline of a mage being inherited from the parents. The bloodline and mana seams to be embedded in the blood of a sorcerer which should prove Makers Game correkt since the soul inhereting a body does not change the blood itself. That would also explain why the artificial souls could use the magic of the bodies they took over. It is probably a mistake in this episode rather than a mistake in a comic and a series… Read more »
It’s definitely tied to blood. There’s no ambiguity here, it’s mentioned in too many places for this not to be a continuity error. So Alistair should have Ashley’s Ruby mana mark
The “FOOOOOD!” was jut so relatable
yeah it is
Ricco Fajardo’s delivery really made the difference, there.
The female Alistair was kind of cute.
