I think the message picture should be changed because it’s logically incorrect.
I mean why did scott ask “who’s texting me at this hour?” when he just delivered the “sorry, busy tonight” to barbara 1 minute ago. Shouldn’t he be already expecting barbara to reply?
I think his though: “who’s texting me at this hour?”. Was before his own reply, not after 😛

What i was thinking is that usually if a person is playing and somebody texted him/her, they would probably just reply it and then put the phone back and continue playing again
The thought about who’s texting is definitely before the text exchange. The phone picture is in a different frame which means it logically follows the previous frame. Given that the phone is in his pocket in the previous frame and given the though, it’s reasonable to assume that the entire text exchange pictured started when he looked at his phone.
