Still the best series, the darker side of me wants to see a bad end to this where the protagonist gradually has her mind fully changed, then to see Mark’s body and mind change too. Like a pair of twins!
I’d also love to see more of what Amy Frostheart’s backstory is, as it’d aid the worldbuilding in SF even more. How different really is the sorcerer economic system from that of the nonbloods’?
No, no, no, no. You mustn’t play with the money. It’s very dirty! Pros: –Excellent character development is given to both Mark and Amy, and it’s done in a way that really makes each of them feel human while keeping Mark as an irredeemable scumbag. -The pacing is great, as the aftermath of the previous episode is only shown for two minutes, giving the story plenty of time to show the situations both Amy and Mark are currently in. Cons: -Kinda surprised why Luca didn’t ask any more questions regarding Mark’s visit. He could hear the conversation happening between Mark… Read more »
This is by far my favorite series. Its a very unique story compared to all the others. I like the protagonist gradual mental changes and that her world is turning upside down. Keep it up and don’t change anything.
Amy: If you are so smart, teach yourself.
Just like Mockridge said, “If you’re so smart, why aren’t you rich?” But all the money in the world, Riddler’s former boss becomes too fearful constantly at end of episode.
Batman: Mockridge may have his money, but he won’t be sleeping well. How much is a good night’s sleep worth? Now there’s a riddle for you.
I’m torn on this. On one hand, this does give some added context to stuff, like how Mark got the amulet, and it shows the person who made it just did it to get by due to her living situation. On the other: it feels like a bit of padding? It also shows that Mark is desperate for some reason, and if this is an attempt to humanize the guy… yeah, no, please don’t do that. I’d rather he stay a jerk who eventually (hopefully) gets his comeuppance. Let the villain be a villain just because he’s power hungry, don’t… Read more »
I’ve written this about 10 times now. I hate posting negative, but I was really disappointed by this entry. I was intrigued by this story so far and this entry did very little except to introduce the catalyst of the change.
It’s hypocritical for Mark to taunt Amy on her financial problems when he also has similar problems with his finance (as indicated by his final lines in this episode).
