Not to be a nitpicker, but I feel like if you wanted to convey what Marcus was thinking, you should have had him on-panel. Sorry, but it’s a little jarring!
That’s not really what is happening on that panel. It’s an error. The second word balloon on the third panel should have been spoken. It should not have been a thought balloon. Marcus is meant to be saying that line out loud.
That thought balloon isn’t Marcus, it’s Gabby. Look at the color of the border. Close – no cigar.
Then the color and text style of that word balloon are also incorrect. As I said, that balloon is meant to be spoken aloud by Marcus. That’s the only way the words within that balloon make any sense.
Additionally, I wrote this comic. So that particular balloon appearing like it is Gabby’s thought balloon is absolutely an error.
