well hikaru finally learned that the magical tablet that russell used to have was controlling logan’s magical powers. and with that tablet destroyed he can regain those powers to help free those players trapped in the game and send them home.

Even with his help, I don’t see any way they escape on their own. I think it will be on Alistair or the mage police. With Isabelle replaced and Chris too dumb to act, and the others lacking any powers, I don’t see what can be done.
Don’t get me wrong, Chris is one of my favorite characters in the Foxverse, but I also have been finding him relatively incompetent.

Exposition is fine but why is the baby dragon sitting around quietly when there’s now two people who could understand it telling them that Russel is in Isobelles body.

This game was his plot to steal the first sorcerer’s body to host his mind, but once the life he stole inevitably reached old age, all Russell would have to do is repeat this scenario again, in a new manner. He’d just keep hopping bodies and stealing the lives of others in an effort to live forever, with zero regard to the relationships and lives he destroys in the process.
