Uhm… I’m gonna be honest here- we’re 126 pages in to this comic and does anyone have any clue what the actual plot is? I mean, as much as it’s fun seeing the men in Foxx’s animations deal with ther situation, its kind of… boring(?) to see it go through 125 pages with no idea as to why it’s happening. Maybe I’m not patient enough and we’ll get more juicy information soon, or an actual antagonist to the very dull and unassuming life Oliver is leading… I don’t know, maybe it’s only me, but I actually think this comic is… Read more »

Agree, to an extent. Godmother is certainly slower than the more recent comics, as well as having a more slice-of-life feel than action/adventure style. Like you said, patience. Sam always pulls through 😉

If you can’t tell what the plot of Godmother is at this point, that’s not the comic’s fault…

The first part of this page just continues to confirm my opinion that Caroline =/= Oliver despite retaining Oliver’s memories.

When you are aware that you have two personalities you are considerate of the other half. It is like Killer Frost in Flash or Hulk in Marvel, even Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. In this case Oliver has two personalities one that believes and thinks himself as a female in a female body, who was given the name Caroline.

So now Caroline is doing a free job. A week later. Nice.

A day going smoothly ? This is Sapphire Fox we’re talking about and Oliver seems to
have Chris’ talent for getting into trouble.

Caroline really needs a bigger wardrobe, we keep seeing the same outfits pop up

We all have a few favorite ensembles we like to wear as casual clothing…….
And now, the older I get, comfort plays a bigger and bigger role in it.

I was wondering why a lot of previous commenters have gone quiet. Is it because of this comic, I reflected this on and determined this could not be the case. Here is why. In Shifting Roommates, Jamie did not ask to be a woman, She had a slow and agonizing transformation with no immediate monetary benefit. In Fractured, 4 people suffered slow and agonizing transformations again with no immediate gains. 3 deciding to stay women, and one only, Kyle/Kailey to be with Lily. Both of those the transformer was Alistar, and then Isabelle adding a curse in Fractured. In Makers… Read more »

Don’t worry. Knowing Sam he probably has a few twists and cliffhangers in the near future.

I was trying to figure out the negativity and why the good natured banter has diminished.

Well, KatherinAnne, it is the nature of this particular comic which is so divisive. It is how Lorraine was not up front about everything. Had Lorraine said, “Look, I can make you a famous model but these are the rules…” Oliver could have said either yes or no but it was so insidious. Lorraine preyed upon Oliver’s financial weakness and most likely caused it. This story is not lighthearted and fun. It is twisted and contrived. Full of false pretenses and Lorraine changing the deal when it suits her. Not to mention the damned brain shift. Making Oliver a robot.… Read more »

Oliver still has the option of not doing it anymore. Also he is able to go back to his original self. The other stories, they didn’t have the option until the end in two of them. So I wonder which is more divisive and mean.
Saying that Makers Game was a computer game and it didn’t seem permanent is actually a funny statement. It is exactly the same as all the rest, all “Fictional stories”.

How about a thicket of trees? Perhaps they brought big beach towels – Bath Sheet size – and two of them will hold two of the towels around her. If this were anyplace other than NYC, they would have brought a walk in tent or similar, it would be in the trunk of the car they drove in.

If I remember correctly, the 1964 World’s Fair was in Flushing Meadow. I’d have to look up which borough. I was eight then. In ’39 and ’64, they had no idea that miniaturization was what the future held.

1939 and 1964 World’s Fairs are what I was referring to.

Well there is Brooke. I was hoping she would be more of a main character.

She may yet become one. This story is still wandering around in the “daily life” of Oliver/Caroline and its pitfalls.
