I think that the reason Eva and Zlilly are accepting this so easily is partially because they are Cursed. On page 203 we learned that what the Mad Fox had been doing to them gave them the same type of Curse he and Isabelle have been curing. I think their new curses are subtlety influencing their thoughts.
