Not a huge fan of this one, especially of the twist. It takes two to cheat and one of the cheaters punishing the other cheater seems wrong. Whitney does look pretty sexy though. Also seems a bit plot light, especially for a 2 parter. I also like stories that expand on the lore, setting, and the larger mechanics, magic, and technology at play.
I agree basically he’s using the person who cheated on him to punish a friend who technically stole her but to me that’s less of a betrayal than her choosing to cheat in the first place. Meanwhile she just comes off as jelous ex using her power to punish a guy she should have known would be faithful and given what she say’s about ruining relationships blaming for her cheating.
I don’t like it. I thought it was going to be more interesting
This was a fitting second half.
Pros:
-Animation was solid.
-Pacing was good.
Cons:
-The ending twist was…confusing. Ava said that the only ones who knew the truth were them, but it’s never specified as to who “them” refers to just Ava and Dane, or Ava, Dane, and Wesley.
8/10. Outside of some confusing details, this was really good and solid.
I wasn’t sure how I felt about this one. After watching both episodes back to back though I do think this one is pretty good. I’m not sure about the ending where Dane pretends to have known her for 5 years despite never seeing her before though. It felt a bit like Dane was just going with it rather than them having a meaningful relationship.
I think this actually turned out well. Whitney’s certainly got hella curves, like, damn! I honestly don’t have much to say. I always find these shorter things to be refreshing, since they can do more with the premise than a oneshot, but they don’t become overly bloated and bogged down by the length the longer series typically bring. I do think this could have probably just been a single animation, if the pacing were a bit quicker, but it’s not so bad here. Kinda wish Whitney’s hair grew out a little bit though. This 2 parter had my 2 parts of any Sapphirefoxx episode:
1. A poetic irony transformation, usually done to the kind of despicable guy that gives men a bad name.
And 2. Dummy thicc figures.
