I know, I know: “Plot” and “SapphireFoxx Tradition”. But it takes me mildly out of the story that Alana “can’t” counteract the curse to make Carlos a guy full-time, even though she seems perfectly capable of turning Carlos into Carmen at will both temporarily and permanently. I’m sure the in-universe answer is something like the curse interfering with the body alteration magic Alana uses, but even if the curse “overrides” the permanent change, it might just change Carmen… into Carmen, and be effectively irrelevant. A few things to note about this. One, Alana pointed out earlier in the comic that she cannot remove or alter the curse, even if she wanted to. She locked the curse in and forgot the password that allows her to change it. The only way to remove the curse now is for the original conditions to be met: Carmen sleeping with nine different guys. Two, changing Carlos into Carmen temporarily during the day is doable, since the curse isn’t affecting Carlos at that time. The curse is only active at night or when it’s cloudy/raining. Yeah, what if Carmen takes Alana’s offer? She can start a relationship with Aaron, and she wouldn‘t need to go all the way up to nine guys anymore, now that she may have finally found the one for her.
