Out of curiosity, why is every TG story like this? Abortions exist, but the characters never bring it up and it’s just assumed they will need to carry to term and give birth if they get pregnant. Like, I get wanting to have a character go through that, and there are certainly things an writer could do to make it necessary. I just find it weird that it’s almost never even mentioned as an option.
I mean, this isn’t really about whether Carmen would get an abortion or not. This moment is just meant to be shocking news for her. For the last several weeks, Carmen assumed that she couldn’t get pregnant, since she’d turn back into Carlos the day after getting pregnant, and the fetus would vanish since he would no longer have a womb.
