I’ve been in classrooms where there were chalk boards on multiple walls. Remember that the desks aren’t fixed to the floor so they can be rotated or otherwise rearranged.

Given that this is basically the set up for Freaky Friday, I think we can guess how it plays out. It would definitely be interesting to see a followup some time after the inevitable hijinx ensues but I don’t think I necessarily need to see said hijinx.

It’s colloquial speech. And colloquially, people use “us” in that context all the time. And have done so for a long time.

You have a rather high opinion of school officials. In my first hand experience, they *always* believed the bully over the victim. I was the victim more times than I care to count and I was always the one that got punished. As a result, the *victim* is the one that has the record and the bullies look squeaky clean.

Sure. But in this case, what they’re doing is pretty much what would actually happen. They arrest the obvious suspect and then don’t bother investigating and assume the suspect is obviously guilty so anything he says contrary to that is obviously a lie.

Unless things have changed, *leaving* the US doesn’t require ID. You don’t have to clear US customs before you cross the border, at least by land. Getting into Canada does but at that point you’re no longer dealing with US officials. The same would be true once you reach the Mexican customs post – you’re no longer dealing with US officials.
