that was more my own observation that characters without an uninfected around tend to to either revert or lean bisexual. it was however established that the enhanced sexuality brought on by disease induced hormones comes and goes with the presence of the uninfected

actually its said earlier in the comic that the disease makes them crave all uninfected both men and woman alike and without uninfected around most characters seem to revert to whatever their base sexuality is or maybe even a little bisexual lean. Honestly I think at this point the government and the military have pretty much accepted that every penis on this island is living on borrowed time and as long as the sickness stays on the island they don’t really care anymore.
