I suspect Gavin was already cursed, therefore he can’t absorb the infection since it is really the curse melted and blended together. He already had a female name picked out and seemed disappointed that he hadn’t been infected until now. Now he seems almost eager to change but it’s not happening.

Agh! Too short! Ok, I think in all likelyhood Chris here is in trouble. I don’t think he was fooled this time and led them to The Island, just not Alistair’s Island. I doubt he was able to warn anyone ahead of time so he’s there by himself with the enemy.

Hmm…Holly seems about right in height in comparison to Scarlett from the beginning but Chris is very much shorter than he was at the beginning. He’s almost as short as Holly and not as masculine looking overall. An oops in the art or is there something much more significant? I’m comparing using pages 13, 14, and 15.
