Just curious but why does she seem so short next to him in the 3rd panel, when they are really the same height.

Luke is embracing Ana in so that her head is up against his chest, to help put Ana’s uneasiness to rest and let her know that things are going to be okay.

I thought the same thing, also in yesterday’s comic. Don’t think if she’s leans towards his chest that she’d really appear like this, i.e. much shorter. Maybe she could put her head on his shoulder, but not so easily his chest, unless she squats down or leans way over. Inconsistent drawing of the characters has been happening off and on in this series. Like Luke losing his broad masculine shoulders when he becomes Lara. Or why does Luke’s shirt above appear fitted and slim from behind, but is actually open and unbuttoned in the front. Just sayin… 🙂

American societal expectations demand that Luke has to kiss Ana before she kisses him. It would emasculate Luke if she kissed him first.

I have a feeling Cypher will be angered at Luke for this, but it’s honestly time for Luke to call Cypher’s bluff at the very least.
