So… I didn’t think I’d be commenting on this series. After the initial few episodes, I didn’t think I’d continue, but since I’m on a bit of a streak going over the various series’, I figured “what the hell?” I’ll say upfront that this series tends to lean a little too into the dialogue stuff I don’t like (where things get too “porn like” for their own good), but this is one of those times where the explanation as to why actually works. The revelations keep coming.
Darius is gonna become Denise by the end of this story. I’m very confident in my prediction.
Long story short, while the scene of Phillip comforting Darrius was great, the sex scene that preceded it (one that looks like it should’ve been largely restricted to the Beyond version) dragged on for over half the runtime and seriously dragged this one down. Had the lengths of the sex scene and car scene been swapped, this episode might’ve been the best of this series yet, especially with the subtle movements of the characters in that second part. Normally, I would kinda agree. Now I watch with the enhanced viewing speed up. Usually at 1.25x but this one was a 1.5x and it went by quickly enough. My issue is that with sex scenes that are not really earned. It should be a pay off to a story not the story itself.
Darrius revealing his secret to Phillip is very similar to Gavin revealing his secret to Zoey in Cinder Isle especially since Darrius acted very emotional over revealing this fact to his brother.
Darrius deserves love and happiness. Protect this wholesome gay boi. Phillip and Darrius are such wholesome siblings.
This is so sweet and emotional. It’s so painful when anyone’s unable to express how they truly feel, keeping all of it bottled inside until it becomes unbearable.
My heart goes out to everyone experiencing the same situation as Darrius/Denise.
I appreciate supporting characters like Phillip / Phoebe (Double Trouble), Jenny (2 Sexy Errors), Gwen, Xavier (Ashes to Ashes), and other good people
