Its not common but there are many times finished things get cut in fiction because it went a way the main plot couldn’t fit after seeing it done. Its just a lot less common than doing so at the plotting stage. Or even the roughing out stages seeing its pacing. I’ll keep an eye out for more as I continue trying to read all the site’s published content.
